The Oakville Blades are proud to share the incredible success of this year’s Pink in the Rink event, where together with our fans, volunteers, and community partners, we raised an outstanding $8,500 for cancer research in support of Halton Healthcare.
This night is always one of the most meaningful on our schedule, and this year was no exception. From the moment the doors opened, the energy inside Sixteen Mile Creek Sports Complex was electric. Fans packed the stands in pink, our volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and our players took the ice with purpose, honour, and heart.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who played a role in making this year’s event such a memorable one. To our Blades staff—your organization, leadership, and passion brought this night to life. To our incredible volunteers—your time, effort, and commitment are the backbone of events like this. And to every single fan, family, and community member who came out, donated, cheered, and helped spread awareness—this is your achievement as much as ours.
A special thank you goes to Halton Healthcare, our charity partner, for the vital work they do in supporting patients and families in our community. We are honoured to stand with you in the fight against cancer.
Pink in the Rink is more than a hockey game—it’s a reminder of the strength of our community when we come together for a cause bigger than ourselves. Thank you, Oakville, for once again showing your heart.
Together, we made a difference—and we can’t wait to keep building on this tradition next season.
