OAKVILLE, ON – The Oakville Blades are proud to announce the tremendous success of this year’s Pink in the Rink game, held this past Saturday at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. With the help of our incredible community, the Blades raised $8,500 in support of Halton Healthcare, contributing to vital cancer care and support services in our region.
This annual event continues to be one of the most meaningful nights of the season, bringing together players, families, fans, and partners for a cause that touches us all. The energy inside Sixteen Mile was electric, fuelled by compassion, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers and parents who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Their time, effort, and passion are truly the heartbeat of Pink in the Rink, and we couldn’t do it without them.
A special thank you to our anthem singer, Lourdes Alomar, whose powerful and emotional performance set the tone for the evening, as well as to the Canadian Dance Company, who energized the crowd with an outstanding performance during the intermission.
We would also like to acknowledge Melanie Allison and Jennifer Simpson for their exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment. Their guidance, organization, and determination ensured another successful Pink in the Rink night, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they contribute to this tradition.
Finally, to every fan, family member, billet, partner, and supporter who filled the stands and participated in the raffles, silent auctions, and in-arena initiatives—thank you. Your presence and generosity made a real impact.
Together, we continue to demonstrate what makes Oakville such a strong and caring community.
Thank you for supporting Pink in the Rink and Halton Healthcare.
